Rob participated in the long-awaited 5th grade track meet between Avon & Abingdon last week. They do this once a year to introduce the kids to track. He's looked forward to it since he watched it in kindergarten!Rob ran the 4 x 200, but didn't think much of it - especially since he ended up with a blister on the ball of his foot. His team got third out of 5 - not too bad, I'd say.
He also did the long jump & jump he did! Despite some inaccurate scoring 
by the high schoolers who were doing it, all got straightened out & our hopper won the meet with a jump of "8 ft-somethin'" - details apparently aren't all that important to an 11-year-old once he's heard he won.
